Read Scripture

This plan will take you through the entire bible in two years. The scriptures are divided up into sixteen “chapters” and organized in semi-chronological order. You’ll read 1-3 chapters a day, and sometimes skim through larger portions that contain genealogies, census information, etc. Click Here for a 3-minute overview of this plan.

One Psalm is listed with each reading for you to slowly pray through, making its words your own. By the end you’ll have prayed through the book of Psalms 2½ times.

Each day you come to a new biblical book there will be a short animated video on The Bible Project website about that book’s design and message and what to look for as you read (Click Here for a sample). In addition to videos regarding books of the Bible, you will find theme videos relating to several topics that appear throughout Scripture (Click Here for a sample).

Free downloadable posters from each Read Scripture video are available on The Bible Project website.

For more information about the reading plan and how you can support The Bible Project visit: jointhebibleproject.com

To read along on your smartphone or other device, install the Read Scripture app (by Crazy Love Ministries) from the App Store or from Google Play.

Each week, you are invited to gather with others who are reading the same scriptures (Click Here for a printable bookmark/schedule of weeks 1-8). Together, we will share a meal, watch one or two of the videos, and mainly discuss what we are reading. What does it say? What does it mean? What does that mean for us? Wednesdays from 5:30-7:30pm.
